Henry Day is a young professional dressage rider and coach.
Henry was born in 1991. He quickly showed that his natural athletic talent extended to include riding and his serious, highly focused mind would lend itself to the schooling and training of dressage horses.
His first professional project was the production of the dutch pony ‘Dublin’ who he started and trained up to medium level. Dublin went on to compete internationally in F.E.I pony classes and has been one of the most consistently successful ponies in the country.
A partnership with the Russian gelding ‘Moment’ followed on whom Henry learned to ride the Grand Prix movements and to compete at small tour level.
Henry then started to work on ‘Daimler’, a 17 hh Oldenburg gelding. He trained this horse from elementary to compete at Intermediare I.
Then following a highly successful partnership with the Hanoverian mare ‘Wajana’ who was largely unbeaten from novice through to medium level winning 23 classes including 2 regional finals.
After leaving university Henry went to work for Paul Hayler where he spent 2 years before taking a job working for Dan Greenwood, and then Peter Storr.
A dedicated and accomplished schooling rider, Henry excels in competition where his meticulous attention to detail and ice cold nerve make a him a force to be reckoned with. It is not surprising that Henry had returned the highest % of the day on many occasions including 2 regional finals.
